Kiltennel Church, Ballymoney / Courtown, Co. Wexford, Ireland.

Kiltennel Church, located within walking distance of Kiltennel House, is a wonderful example of the neo-Gothic style.   Built by Lord Courtown in the 1770s, it was intended as a memorial to the Stopford family.  Some of the building materials used in the church, both sandstone and granite dressings, were taken from an earlier church located at Seafield around 1609.

Prior to this, it was a medieval church site dedicated to St. Sinell whose feast day is June 15th.

This beautiful church is still regularly used, and its tree-lined grounds and graveyard provide a lovely setting for quiet walks and historical exploration. Kiltennel Church neo Gothic style Ballymoney Courtown County Wexford Ireland
